Ogden Raptors vs Grand Junction

Win 10-9 in 11 innings

After some really costly errors by the Raptors the score was 1-9 when the seventh inning stretch came.  The ballpark had been as packed as i've seen it in a long time.  I took my dude Jake to use the facilities and came back to a half empty ballpark.  Passing person after person leaving saying the game was over.

You don't leave the game early!!! And this is why...
The game was just about done.  Bottom of the eighth and the first two Raptors struck out.  As the next batter went to the plate some dude from the back started yelling "yes we can."  At first it was kinda one of those times when you're just wondering when the weird guy is going to shut up, but the batter singled up the middle.  This gave life to the yelling guy and a few others around the area, my son included. To him, yelling something over and over is the best thing ever.  John Cannon up next hit a home run, scoring two.  The Raptors were still down by 5 runs with two outs, but the crowd was into it now.  We were loud.  The same bunch of people continued their chanting but the crazy thing was, the Raptors kept going.  After a single, a triple, a single, a single, and a walk..... the bases were loaded and we were only down by 3 runs.  Just 3 runs.  I can't speak for everyone, but for me, the annoying yelling guy had become a part of this whole crazy comeback inning.  I don't think we wanted the annoying guy and his followers to stop.  The Raptors were only down by 3 now.  Justin Chigbogu, who started off the inning with a strike-out, was up to bat again.  He rocked a line drive through the gap in left center to the wall.  His triple emptied the bases. Tie game.  The inning ended tied.

No scores in the 9th and 10th, no score in the top of the 11th.  A double for the Raptors put the winning run on second. John Cannon hit the walk off single to complete the game.  This game that was "over" in the 7th inning...  It was the coolest game i've ever seen.  If you know me, you know that i don't leave a game before its over.  I don't care the score, i just don't leave.  You don't get many opportunities in life to see something like i saw tonight.

More crazy for you:
The Raptors are in a battle for the 2nd half win and a spot in the playoffs.  The last 7 games have been against the Rockies. The Raptors won 6 of those and have overtaken the Rockies for the lead in the South by 2.5 games.
A couple weeks ago the Raptors had a 9-10 record.  They are now 19-12 after winning 10 of their last 12 games.  9 of those games have been by one run.
They are in the middle of an 8 game stretch against the Rockies. One game left Saturday against the Rockies.  Including this win tonight this is 3 straight walk-off wins at home against the Rockies.  That is crazy!  Nuts!  Thats some incredible crap.
