Jazz thoughts April 26, 11 in the pm

The Jazz could not get the job done the final three quarters of game 4 and went down 3-1 against the Lakers in the series. Our streak was finally broken last night. I knew it wouldn't last forever but i hoped they'd win at least one more game that we went to. I thought they were ok up until halftime. They were still in it and doing ok. In the second half they just could not hit a shot. They had stretches of just really bad shooting. You definately can't beat the Lakers shooting like that. They seemed to lose their edge from there and lost intensity. They just could not seem to keep it close. It was a disappointing game after the good win in game 3 and the possibility to tie up the series.

There's a good chance that the Jazz will lose game 5 in L.A. and lose the series. I hope they can bring the series back here, but L.A. is a good team and are not going to be easy to beat. The Jazz have already done as much or more in this series than most everyone expected them to do. If they were to win in L.A. or even pull off the upset to win the series it would be huge. Probably the biggest upset in the playoffs ever. Its disappointing that the Jazz have not done better in this series, but i'm not disappointed in the Jazz for not winning the series. It would be very improbable for the Jazz to beat the Lakers 4 times. I am proud of the Jazz and proud to be a Jazz fan.

The Jazz are a team i can be glad to be a fan of. I hope they can keep getting better, but it is a good organization with a good coach. I'm so glad that the Jazz don't have some arrogant punk player like Kobe, or some arrogant stupid coach like Phil Jackson. I would rather the Jazz be who they are without a championship, than have players and coaches like them and have multiple championships. Jerry is an awesome coach and i'm glad that he doesn't care about all of that media stuff other players and coaches do. He just loves to coach and wants his team to compete and win.
I'm glad that the Jazz are the kind of team that they are because when they do win an NBA championship it will just be all that more meaningful. They will finally get that championship for all the Jazz players who have played to deserve that ultimate prize.

I was thinking about this last night after the game while i was watching stuff from the John and Karl days. I wish the Jazz could have got one of those Finals against the Bulls. That would have been great, and so deserved by those players, but the fact that the Jazz did not and have not won the championship does not make them any less in my eyes. No, they have not won that championship, but look at what the Jazz have done in my lifetime... look at how many years they have made it to the playoffs, and the successes they have had in the playoffs. Not many teams in the NBA have had so much overall success as the Jazz have in the past 20 years. Their consistency has been awesome. I'm glad they have had all that success under Jerry and the Jazz management. Sure there are lots of things i'm sure the players, coaches, and management could have done better over the years, but thats normal for any team. All make mistakes.

I know this is a long boring post, but i'm proud of the Jazz. I'm proud to be a Jazz fan. In the days of John Stockton no NBA title was won, but i watched something i don't think i'll ever see again in the NBA ever. Who is there in the NBA who is anything even remotely like John? There is nobody who plays like him in the game or plays with class like Stockton did. I never worried about him getting arrested for a DUI or being charged with rape or sexual harrassment. He was a great example of a great point guard in the NBA. He is a rare player in the NBA. Most are not like he was. He did not care about fame and prestige like most players. There are so many more things about him and about the Jazz over the years that i can be proud of.

I'll be done now, but all i'm trying to say is that i don't need an NBA championship. It would be great for the Jazz to finally get one, and i think they will someday, but i like the Jazz anyway.
Lets go Jazz! Give them crap in L.A.
