Jazz vs Nuggets Tonight

So with the Nuggets beating the Lakers last night they put a little distance between them and the Jazz at the top of the division. I don't really think its too big of a deal because the Nuggets are only 3 games above the Jazz and it lessened the distance between the Lakers and everyone else in the West.

See the Lakers are now only 3.5 games in front of the Nuggets in the West. I'm not saying that the Lakers will not end up in the top spot in the West when the playoffs start, but i don't think they are "uncatchable" as everyone has seemed to be saying since the beginning of the season. I really don't think that they are an automatic for that spot. The odds favor them for it, but its not a guarantee. Of course i'd love the Jazz to make it past Denver and make it past L.A. and i think they definately do have a chance of this, there is still alot of season left. Yeah, thats just alot of my dreaming and fantasy world, but its definately not out of the question. Even without my fantasies, i could easily see the Nuggets passing the Lakers for the top spot. Really i think that the Nuggets are playing better than the Lakers right now anyway. Its just not over in the West. There is alot of time left and the teams are really quite close in the standings all the way up to the 11th spot.

I think the Jazz really need to get this win against Denver tonight. Really they need to catch up to Denver for the top of the division, but i think even more importantly than that i think the Jazz need to put some distance between them and the 4th-11th spots in the West. If my fantasy world doesn't happen and the Jazz don't make it to the top spot in the West, it would be great to at least get the 2nd spot. If even that doesn't happen, because Denver is playing great too, I think the Jazz really can benefit from holding on to one of the top 4 spots.

Thats enough jibbering, the Jazz should just win.
