2010 Playoff Talk

Celtics 2 - Magic 0
All i can say is that i won't underestimate the Celtics again this year. They've shown they are the best right now. Both games have been close, and pretty good to watch. Magic could very well win a game or two, but this series could also easily end up a sweep. It looks like the NBA media will be happy that they'll get a Celtics Lakers finals this year. They can make their money.

Lakers 2 - Suns 0
Not so much what i thought either, but the Lakers do seem to be getting better and better as the playoffs go on. I'd still like to see the Suns win, but to me, it seems like the Jazz played better in their first two games against the Lakers than the Suns have played in their first two... and the Jazz were swept. The Suns just are not stopping the Lakers offense at all really. 128 and 124 points is a butt load. I just hope the Suns can turn it around like the Jazz were not able to do this year.

Things i hate right now:
  • "bigs" i hate this term when referring to the taller players on the teams. I don't know why but it drives me nuts.
  • Lakers- hate them.
  • Kobe- hate him bad.
  • Refs- just in general, i'm sick of them. Stop calling so many fouls. Just let them play a little. It just ruins the flow of the game, plus they call so many that they get alot of them wrong... i don't like seeing bad calls all game. The game is about the players and basketball. Let the players play basketball. Its not about the refs. Here's one example of whats got me so upset from game 1:

So if you watched the game i'm sure you remember when Brown jumped up for the dunk over the Phoenix player... why was a foul called? It was ridiculous to call a foul. First off, yeah it was a pretty freakin nice try by Brown, he was clear the heck up there and it was nuts that he almost jumped over the other player for the dunk. Impressive. But what did Jason Richardson of the Suns do to foul him?? I couldn't find a video highlight of the play but you can see from the pictures even, he was just standing there, even trying to move out of the way and Brown landed on HIM. He was not inside the restricted circle under the basket when Brown landed on him. There was no reason to call a foul on him. What was he supposed to do?

So you're tellin me that if you're a guy who can jump fairly high, all you have to do is run and jump on the players from the other team and you'll get the foul called? Just jump towards the hoop and you'll get the call?
This is only one of many bad calls like this that keep happening in both conference finals series. I like watching the games, but i'm sick of the refs.
