Week 5 Bears at Panthers

vs
23 - 6
Season Record: 4-1

Much better. Run game was much better. Pass protection was better, tho the Panthers did still get 3 sacks on the Bears. Thats not near as much as 10. The Bears threw 4 interceptions, but with their starting quarterback out thats not too horrible. They kept the Panthers to just 6 points. Bears had 5 sacks and 3 interceptions. The Panthers have not won a game so far this year so this was a win the Bears were expected to get, but at least they showed they can play better than they did last week. A win is a win.

Peppers coming back to his past team for the first time.

The Bears scored 17 first quarter points then didn't do much on offense, but were able to keep Carolina from getting into the game. Gould kicked 2 field goals in the 4th quarter to put the game even more out of reach.

I think the Bears have a good defense this year. They have held their opponents to 14, 20, 17, 17, and 6. Not just that, but have got a lot of take-aways. These scores so far are just much better than they allowed last year when they were letting teams score 30 and 40 in a bunch of games. Like i've said, if they can hold their opponent to 20 or less points they have a decent chance of winning every game.

I'm not really sure what i think about the Bear's offense. I don't know about their running game or passing game or Cutler or whatever. I hope they can just figure out a few more things because i think they have some pretty good weapons if they can get everything working just right.

Fantasy notes:
I drafted Matt Forte as a backup running back for when one of my other backs was injured or on a bye. So the first week he goes and gets 2 TDs and 150 receiving yards and 50 run yards. So i thought to myself i'd have to maybe start him, so i did for a few weeks and did not get much especially last week against the Giants. So i benched him again today and what does he do? 2 TDs and 166 run yards. I give up.

NFC North
Bears 4-1
Packers 3-2
Vikings 1-3
Lions 1-4
