Week 17 Bears at Packers

vs
3 - 10
Season Record: 11-5

I would have really liked the Bears to win this one, just to knock the Packers out of the playoffs. They did leave the starters in the whole game but in the end it was just missed opportunities again that was the biggest difference. I did like how the Bears defense played.

I am glad the Bears have a bye week to get ready for their first playoff game. I know they say that winning this game didn't really mean anything to the Bears, and that losing it was no big deal. In terms of standings and playoff stuff yeah it meant nothing to the Bears, but i would have much rather the Bears ended the season on a win. Not that its the biggest thing in the world, but a still a loss never feels good i think. Hopefully the Bears can turn it into some positive play when they play in the Divisional round. That'd be nice.

The Bears will face 1 of 3 teams in the Divisional round. The Eagles, the Saints, or the Seahawks. They can only face the Packers or the Falcons in the NFC championship game. If the Eagles win against the Packers, the Bears will face them. If the Eagles lose, the Bears will face the winner of the Saints Seahawks game. Any of these 3 teams can beat the bears for sure, but i do feel like the Bears will have great chances of beating any of these three teams at home and going to the NFC championship game.

Lets take the good things away from this loss. Forte looked great and was able to get a lot of yards off the run. Defense was good. Teams are afraid of Hester. Bears are in the Playoffs!
