Game 63 Utah Jazz at Portland Trailblazers

vs
112 - 91
Record: 33-30
The Jazz are so close to the playoffs i can taste it.
Yes, taste it.
Just 3 wins away.

The Jazz blew out the Blazers tonight, and this season for the Jazz has totally changed from a week or two ago. The Trailblazer team did not seem very good in the least tonight, but the Jazz did what a team should do in that situation and blow out the bad team. The Jazz have not always done that, in fact they have often lost these games.

Jazz now sit as we speak in the 8 spot in the west, holding on to that final playoff spot. Tonight the Rockets lost, the Nuggets lost, and the Suns lost. The Jazz not only have a shot at making the playoffs, but they control whether or not they make the playoffs. No matter what other teams do, if the Jazz win their final 3 games at home they are guaranteed at least the 8 seed. With some help they could even move up higher than that.

There are still 3 games left for the Jazz and they are by no stretch safe in the playoffs or anything like that. This could go bad easily with just one or two bad games. Good news tho, Jazz win and they are in. Its like the Jazz are already in a playoff series with the Suns and Rockets. If the Jazz win more the next few games then they win this series and make it to the next playoff series (first round of the west conference playoffs). The Jazz playoffs have already started, and they won game 1 of that playoff series tonight.

I bought tickets for me and Allston for Saturday's game against the Magic a little over a week ago. At that time they were definitely in the playoff hunt, but how the Jazz sit right now going into Saturday's game was just about my best case scenario i hoped for us going to this game. Best case i hoped this game Saturday would be what it is now. It should be an awesome game to go to. The Jazz are in the cockpit, they are flying this plane.

I've been impressed with the Jazz as a team lately. The guys the Jazz have are really growing on me. Its helped me feel better about the Jazz after some of the things that have happened recently. Hayward has been extra awesome in my book. I was never against the Jazz drafting him, but when they drafted him and watching him play the first half of last season i didn't really have high hopes for him at all. I think i was wrong, he really has been showing a lot of good ness. I'm no expert, but I have been sold with this guy. Keep this guy, he is a Jazz dude for sure. His play and his attitude and personality seem to me to be exactly what i see an ideal Jazz player should be. He has become one of my favorites, if not favorite dudes on this team.
