Week 10 Bears vs Vikings

vs
27 - 13
Season Record: 6-3
Game Highlights

I've heard all week how the Bears are just a horrible football team and how they were not a 5-3 team. Really, every time i heard anything about the Bears on Sports Center or on the radio, it was always negative. Always about how bad the Bears are and how they would lose to the Vikings. Now i realize that the Bears do have some problems this year. I agree that they have some pretty big flaws. BUT, i think you have to be an idiot now to say that a 6-3 team like the Bears do not have anything good going for them, or that they are not a contender this year. They are definitely in the thick of things. They have plenty of real good things going for them as well as the bad things. True, they could easily have a meltdown the next 4 or 5 weeks and drop to a .500 team. They could also win a bunch of the games and continue figuring out how to fix some of their problems.

I was just so glad the Bears got this win and maybe those sports people will think about it again before claiming the Bears are one of the worst teams in the league. Just give them a little credit at least. The monsters of the midway were back for this game. Sort of...

Hester was huge in this game. While he didn't return any kicks for touchdowns, he had a bunch of long returns to put the Bears in Vikings territory to start out drives. Hester makes things hard for other teams. They can't kick to him, but kicking away from him can hurt them too.

Johnny Knox played great in this game too. He was making some nice catches when the Vikings had good coverage, like the picture above. 4 Vikings defenders, 1 Johnny Knox. He had a lot of 3rd down catches for 1st downs.

I always like Greg Olsen. He had a TD catch that was brought back by penalty, so the very next play he caught the ball in the endzone again.

I have to give some love for Jay Cutler today too. I have been quite disappointed lately with him and have said so in my posts, but today was different. He threw 2 interceptions still, but that i can live with when he plays like he did today and makes other big plays. There was still quite a bit of pass rush by the Vikings, but Cutler was scrambling all over the place and still making throws on broken plays. This is the Jay i like to see, and hope to see more of. He did a good job today. I like when he is willing to get out of the pocket and try to make things happen. He is good at that. I'm back on your wagon Jay so don't change it.

The Bears defense started out sorta slow, but stepped it up later in the game. They really held the Vikings to just about nothing in the second half.
I like the Bears old monsters of the midway jerseys. It seems like this year they are wearing them in place of the games they usually wear their alternate orange jerseys. I really like those orange ones too, i wish they'd wear those still for a couple games.

NFC North:
Bears 6-3
Packers 6-3
Vikings 3-6
Lions 2-7
